The Spirit of Christian Love

Go on loving your brother,
In the faith of each other;
Take care to keep open house,
Never neglecting your spouse.

An angel might be your guest,
So you need to look your best;
Show love when a stranger calls,
Welcoming inside your walls.

Give up the love of money,
The lust of milk and honey;
Be pleased with the things you got,
Flinging wants that you have sot.

The Lord can see you impart,
With having an upright heart;
No fear of what man can do,
While living each day through.

Allow your faith always be,
As Christ always had in thee;
With the love He shines on you,
In glory as others view.
