Profession of Faith
This is the word that came to me,
From God and been given to you;
That He is light for which to see,
And no darkness in which to view.
If we are joined a part of Him,
And are still walking in the dark;
Then life itself will remain grim,
With false words where we may embark.
If we are walking in the light,
We are in one with each other;
The blood of Christ keeps us upright,
Making all our sins wither.
If we say that we have no sin,
We are frauds and tell nothing true;
God is willing to cleanse within,
If we confess and start anew.
If we say we never have sinned,
Then it makes the Lord a liar;
If those words we do not rescind,
Judgment for the lake of fire.
