AT TIMES IT JUST DOESN`T PAY

AT TIMES IT JUST DOESN`T PAY

It doesn`t pay:-
To wear your heart on your sleeve
`Cause in the end you will grieve,
You`ll get hurt without a doubt
When you row and then fallout.



It doesn`t pay:-
To be over sensitive
You`ll find this is destructive,
People don`t care what they say
You`ll be hurt along the way.



It doesn`t pay:-
To show all the cards you hold
Just bluff a little, be bold,
Play your cards close to your chest
You will find that this is best.



It doesn`t pay:-
To give all your love too fast
Just in case it doesn`t last,
Take things slowly that is best
Lasting love will be the test.



It doesn`t pay:-
To make plans too far ahead
Plan from day to day instead,
Things can go pear shaped you know
Leaving you feeling sad and low.



I`m sorry to have to say
`That things don`t always pay`,
I tell you this so you`re aware
Disappointment is hard to bear.
