LORI ANN JOHNSON

There in me
And me
From 16 and 1/2 to
My 18Th birthday
Hitch hiked from
Yakima, Washington to
Tulsa, Oklahoma
In 72 hours
And became Lori
Laura too much
Control in that version
Hippie times
Communal houses
My boyfriend Zeb
And Gene and Peggy
Lived there for awhile
People were dirt poor
In Okmulgee and
For awhile I
Passed out from starvation working
In a fruit stand
You need protein
To unload potatoes
And bags of
Oranges
Molly says the 1st
Apartment I lived
In alone is now a
Parking lot
$75.00 a month was
Cheap for a studio
Painted those rooms
Sky blue colors
And found happiness
In being free
Of parents
Who spanked me
For once not
Wearing a bra
The great controversy then
The world was safer
And peace love and happiness was
Found in a box of
Kraft macaroni and cheese
Lori Ann Johnson fell
In love with Thomas
Wayne Anderson nine
Years her senior
We made Molly on
March 11Th, 1974
Were were married
In June 1974 by
The swing in our
Yard at a house in
Yakima
I wore a
Wine colored satin
Gown and he pair of
Levi's and a
Flannel red plaid shirt
We were in love and
Dreams of you
Molly sparked our
Lives when I turned 18 the day
You were conceived
I told your dad
My real name Candace
Jean Anderson
In me existed
Both with moms
Named Betty Jean Anderson both
With love for you
Molly Nicol Anderson
Our beautiful
Smart kind
Babycakes
Little girl!
