Fifteen Already
Just yesterday you were the apple of my eye
Man how quickly the years past by
No longer is the baby girl who could barely walk
Or completely form her words when trying to talk
No more sitting on my lap or standing on my feet
Or pulling on my pant leg asking for a treat
I guess I always knew that this day would come
But it appeared so fast it's like “ where did it come from”
I know I can't get those years back, no way, no how
I just have to accept the fact that you're a young lady now
So Happy Birthday Jamie with many more to come
Today it's not toys and candy, but you hair and nails done
Fifteen years old, now celebrated a different way
Far from the celebration 14 years ago today
My wish for you today is the same as it will forever be
That you will live, love, laugh, and be happy
