As true Today

As True Today
As true as the day it first touched your heart
The same as it was even when we were apart
As real as it was in our beginning stages
As plain to see as written in poetry pages
If the sun is still the sun when the day is cold
And though it rises everyday it never gets old
As the moon which lights the sky at night
Is still the moon when it's not in plain sight
My love for you
As true today as the when the words were first spoken
As real as it was when your heart was broken
It may have been tested, it may have been tried
It seemed faint at times, but it never died
It may take the rain for the flowers to grow
But it should'nt have to be spoken for you to know
If the day comes it can't be declared aloud
Remember the blue sky behind the clouds
My love for you
As true today as it shall always be
As evident as you being made for me
When at times there appears to be no spark
Charge it to my head not to my heart
The winds may change it's cause or coarse
The sea may change it's flow or force
Many things may change with time
But this one thing you will always find
My love for you
