Simple Trust

Lord, I yearn for a special trust
it's a childlike trust to believe
where there is no worries or cares
beliveing their parents won't leave.

From this cruel world we live in
a child knows where they stand
and their tears and fears are overcomed
by their parents loving hand.

Lord, give me this ultimate trust
no matter what happens in life
heal this torn heart that's often
battered with strife.

Give me your gentle Hand of Trust
so I can live safe and sound
with no cares like that child
only your loving hand can be found.
