Poetry For Everyday People

Your Right Hank is Wrong

Hank Williams Jr.
(love his father's music)
decided to rewrite his "Family Tradition"
change the lyrics to attack
Americans (democrats)and of course
Barack Obama.

The usual rap is in his song:
everything good that happened
during president Clinton's eight years:
is credited to president George Bush senior,
and everything bad that happened under
president Bush 2008:
is president Bill Clinton's fault.

So Hank, here's one for you good buddy:

out here in the land of cotton
where history is not forgotten
we got a tradition of our own
Hank we like to keep our home

how do you believe in Mccain Palin?
Hank they don't even have a plan
are you worried 'bout your taxes?
when you should be worried 'bout your fans

I'm glad you like Palin
glad you like Mccain
glad you like her looks
fox news and the game
but peoples homes are gone
don't need a division song
we're voting Obama Biden
'cause your right Hank is wrong

see Hank we ain't all rich like you
although I sure wish you well
I use to think you were cool man
but Americans can't pay their bills

now we want sharp minds and steady leaders
we want no more of the last eight years
the world needs a break from the wrong right
Hank we even lost the king of beers

I'm glad you like Palin
glad you like Mccain
glad you like her looks
fox news and the game
but peoples homes are gone
don't need a division song
we're voting Obama Biden
'cause your right Hank is wrong

we're voting Obama Biden
'cause your right Hank is wrong
