Morning Jewel

As day breaks and rays of light appear,
An end to darkness as dawn draws near,
Beams of reflected colours will soon display,
Bearing witness to the birth of a newborn day.

The crisp new feeling of a morning dew,
              Untouched, unspoiled, virgin and new,
A gentle breeze, refreshing and cool,
A nocturnal gem now a morning jewel.
