MAYDAY! MAYDAY!
On the first day of May,
In historic old Britain,
The king and his court
With Spring Fever were smitten.
The drawbridge was lowered
So the moat could be crossed
For a brunch in bright sunshine
Now that April was lost.
Not just one big round table---
Twelve round tables there reposed,
For great dining and wining
In quiet peace, all supposed.
A fine queen nicknamed Jenny,
As hostess of the brunch,
Oversaw as her servants
Laid out good food to munch.
Then Queen Jenny screamed loudly
For her Arthur, the king,
As panicked picnickers pointed
At a very scary thing---
Two frightful green dragons
Stood at a buffet table,
Eating sweet jelly doughnuts
As fast as they were able.
Sir George, a handsome young knight,
Neared the two at their feast,
And he warned them, "Take care,
Trans-fats, sugars, and yeast!"
Both dragons exclaimed "Trans-fats?"
And fearfully ran far away,
But brave Sir George of England
Is still honored to this day.
So the lesson, my dear friend,
When you're faced with a dragon,
Simply shout out "Trans-fats"
And he'll leave without laggin'!
