MY BOYS
They're just young boys, like all the rest
With mischief in their eye
And wiggly toes and freckled nose
And smiles, both broad and shy
Impatient with the daily cares
Of clothes and baths and time
Their interests be with dogs and cars
And how to spend their dime
To them, meals are a bother
And always seem to come
When they would rather be outside
Playing with a chum
But when the day is at an end
And they're all snug in beds
With baths and prayers and teddy bears
I love my sleepyheads
