MASK

MASK

I ease inside the door, I leave it all behind
The wind has a double, it swirls inside my mind
The once yellowed sun is locked within its shine
Inside the place of darkness, waiting to unwind

Everything is labeled, I can't comprehend
Sad mocking silence chanting without end
Black isn't silent, ink stained words to send
Storms always circling, nothing seems to blend

Word dribbled pages, written in vibrant blue
I walk the slippery letters searching for a clue
I listen to the language, try to start anew
The wind turns a key; I'm here to torture you

I try to reach for happy, it quickly runs to hide
The silhouettes are dancing, can I come inside?
The mask is slowly fading, I'm Jekyll and I'm Hyde
Someone come to lead me, where can I reside?
