From the heart

Mother

When i was growing up mom
i thought i knew it all
a wild child at heart u kno
i put u through it all
its not that i was naughty
just too grown up for my age
i knew what i wanted
and our worlds were not the same
there were too many rules
u took the time to set aside
even tho i never listened
you always took it in your stride

you never gave up on me
always tried your very best
but to a typical teenager
a mother's just a pest

But looking back i know now
all u wanted was the best
i'm a mother myself now
and its me who is the pest
i never thought i'd say it
but i've followed in ur steps
i've finally learnt to realize
a mother knows whats best
