 Sitting at the Park

Sitting at the Park

Sitting at the park
Just me, myself and I
I'm talking to my Savior
My Lord, my Jesus Christ

A couple with their children
A boy and little girl
Are playing at the playground
Enjoying this great world

I see a younger couple
They must be in their teens
Holding hands and kissing
So happy, yes it seems

The sun is shinning brightly
Between the old oak trees
I see the squirrels playing
Enjoying the fresh breeze

I pause and take a moment
To thank my Savior Christ
For all His awesome blessings
And Eternal life

These people that I'm watching
Are living their own lives
I wonder if they know that
He came to sacrifice

To Him they're all important
They're all His flock of sheep
He wants to share His blessings
Their souls He wants to keep

The father and his daughter
Are having so much fun
They're looking cute together
And showing so much love

I hope that all these people
Will one day meet again
When Christ comes down from heaven
And takes us back with Him
