Poetry For Everyday People

An American Sunshine

The rays of hope
are shining bright
threw our worst economical
times, in the mixed
of two wars of which one
was based on a lie,
the gull,
to send American kids
to fight a war based
on a lie,

makes me sick,

but the rays of hope
are shining bright,

Obama is a thoughtful
intelligent inspiring
leader, who has spoken
about the issues we face,
the challenges, always
trying to bring us together,
not divide us, unite us,
not split us up,

I don't want people
running our country
who pretend they don't
hear the racist remarks
at their rallies, when
they deliberately infused them,
Muslim ain't a bad word?

man the constant lies, give me
an answer, one answer, one solution,
I don't want rich people who
have and will give rich people
tax breaks like always, telling me
they care about Joe anybody,

it's sad to hear them talking
about taxes that Obama is going
to steal from the people to
give to who ever he wants?
and hear all these people at
their rallies screaming, clapping?

unless the people that go to
the republican rallies are
millionaires, what are they cheering?
don't be their fool, they ain't
doing nothing for you, except use you,

the newest Mccain Palin commercial
has Obama with the president of Iran
and Arabic music in the back round,
so now Arabic music is to be feared?
and diplomacy mocked?
this level of politics requires
cross burnings and white hoods,

but the rays of hope
are shining bright,

don't fall for more lies,
don't fall for the dividers,

stand up for America,
stand up for uniting us,
stand up for your families,
stand up for our kids that need to come home,

vote with your mind.
