i am a masterpiece
a celestial art form
created by the gods
i am their creation;
theirs, and theirs
alone
they made me
large, beautiful
taller than the rest
and i am bound
to this earth
forevermore...
bound, bound, bound
BOUND I TELL YOU!
these roots, these ROOTS
that cling to me
that bound me
that shackle me
how i despise them...
you know,
i could keep growing
taller and taller
higher and higher
gravity would never
captivate me
nor imprison me
on this earth
but these roots,
these ROOTS...
and yet
how i love them
adore them
i shelter them,
protect them
give them my love
my attention
and they allow me
to grow
and expand
larger and larger
taller and higher!
i am the tallest
the strongest
the MOST graceful...
the wind,
ahh, the wind...
this is when i feel
the most beautiful----
when the wind
whispers to me
seductively,
entrancingly,
rhythmically
forcing me to dance...
how i LOVE dancing----
it's the only time
that the gods
allow me
to move
and i love EVERY moment
for one reason:
i am bound

to these roots, these ROOTS,
my feet,
that twist and twirl
curl and twist
underneath the dirt
that i sit----
upon,
ever SO gracefully
ever SO beautifully
these thoughts
are of me
for i am,
