The Assured Blessing
If you put your heart right,
You will have the insight;
As you stretch out your hands,
To where Jesus Christ stands.
If you put far away,
Evil that makes you stray;
Let no wrong have a place,
Causing you a disgrace.
Then truly you will be,
Lifting your face to see;
With no mark of a sin,
Corrupting you within.
And with being sincere,
You will be without fear;
For your sorrow will go,
Just like the waters flow.
Your life will shine like day,
Chasing the clouds of gray;
Like morning you embark,
Far away from the dark.
Feel safe for there is hope,
To strengthen as you cope;
And take a quiet rest,
Because the Lord has blest.
