MENTAL DOORS
Through dark and treacherous thoughts I wade
Trying not to let them catch me, I´m afraid
Ever closer looms the night, closing in on me, take flight
Shut the doors and lock them twice
Must keep the darkness out at any price
For now my mind must shut down
I can only pray it stops those awful sounds.
T.V., radio, turn them off, harbingers of sadness
Watch it day and watch it night leads to madness out of fright
So brothers and my sisters keep your mental doors closed
Cause there´s a monster getting nearer
Just waiting for a door to open,
just enough for him to sneak in, it's a sin.
So keep them closed, get some rest, your safe tonight
You've done your best, you were ready for a fight
To keep the darkness out has a very high price.
Shutting down the mind is a first sign.............
