Promise of God
The Lord has done wondrous things,
As He takes us by the hand;
Through peace and comfort He brings,
And safe from the sinking sand.
He causes the blind to see,
Because their faith in the light;
From the darkness they are free,
Now having a righteous sight.
Lord Jehovah is His name,
Allowing the deaf to hear;
So when His Word we proclaim,
And it can enter their ear.
The Creator of the earth,
As well as the Heaven too;
Sent His Son for your rebirth,
Giving salvation for you.
But God has long been quiet,
Letting us easily stray;
Allowing crime and to riot,
A prelude to Judgment Day.
