Accents

Accents are all around me
More than only just a few-
Words I've never heard of before
All speaking the Queens English too-
Accents so many all together
Endless in a space of one-
All speaking the same language
Accents so many and then some-
They feel one should understand them
They understand every word they say-
I just often smile and nod my head
And then go on my way-
Accents every bodies got one
Or so I'm told that it is so-
Some accents not a chance to understand
How some I wish that I could know-
But when I speak they often look at me
And then look to my love so true-
What did he say , What is G'Day
Of tell me will you do-
Accents , Lots of different accents
I have not got the heart to say-
I cannot understand a single word
Some say upon any given day-
Some cannot even understand their own
Though living only a few miles away-
Accents lots of accents and then some
Makes such an interesting day-
