Today the world woke up to change
Foes now friends those once estranged
Now seem to feel we can move on
Break bread, make peace, renew old bonds
I pray this change will make amends
Traverse new ground where all will bend
Achieving peace, saving mankind
To arguments that make us blind
There is just cause that most forget
The race to save mankind who let
Humanity wander astray
For this and more we all should pray
The work cannot alone be done
By him who ran, this nations son
But by all both red and blue
Constituents, yes that means you
Color is not a bar to judge
Historically man fails to budge
But not today, we have no time
Today the world must draw the line
Imagine what we could achieve
If we would trust what GOD conceived
A place where men can share a place
Made by two hands, our Earth, His grace
I did not vote for Barack Obama as my religious
convictions hold me to a higher authority. Yet
as in all that we write we wanted to deliver a
message not new but not heard enough. I pray that
everyone that voted and those that did not, support
our new President and keep him and our country in prayer.
The work ahead starts with all of us. Pray for Gods wisdom
to guide a man to lead a nation in a lost world.
