With God all things are possible
A white woman and a black man
Loved and brought you to this world
To do the hope you've planned

President please give us hope
Lead us to the American pride
To the weak do not say nope
On fairness let us ride

Because life is not fair
The homeless are abounding
Without rules the rich won't share
Their wealth as poverty's surrounding

Children with no food tonight
Mentally ill without a bed
Bring us back into the light
Take us from dark we dread

Bring home the men and women
Away from their families too long
Give us a cup of faith brimming
Lift our faces to a song

Sing out the land of the brave
Speak out to those in need
Come to our aide and save
Hear in our voices words that plead

For freedom
For justice
For leadership
For trust in us

A great day yesterday
Take away as much injustice as you can
We will help you on your way
Stand tall for our President again

May God's love lead you
May faith's hand touch you
May hope's light seed you
May love's all be much to you

That is what I ask O-Obama
That is what I need of you O-President
That is the call of this one momma
That is fate that God has sent

We are drowning
We are sad
We are abounding
We are mad

At the state of starvation
At the lack of health care
At the atrocities of the nation
At selfishness when there is so much to share.
