From the heart
Children in need
Across the world day in day out
a hungry child has to go without
the mother has no means to feed
this poor child in desperate need
many suffer, disease rates high
there is no cure and most will die.
the sun's so hot no food will grow
there's hardly any water flow
there are no shoes upon their feet
and not much shelter from the heat.
rags for clothes all tattered and torn
a gift from you that once was worn
yet through all this pain and strife
they're grateful for the gift of life.
please dont turn the other way
lets help save a life today
there's so much that we could do
a little help from me and you
could stop the hunger and the pain
these things to us are not a strain
for we have plenty.. cant you see
god made them like you and me
they too have the right to live
its only fair that we should give.
