To Know God
There is no need of feeling grim,
While having knowledge of Him;
But only if we keep His Laws,
Keep on praising and give applause.
Whoever says that they know God,
But will never honor and laud;
And never seems to keep His Laws,
Then is completely full of flaws.
For they only try to deceive,
What they say that they believe;
Because the truth is not within,
Since their body is full of sin.
But anyone who keeps His Word,
And abides in all he has heard;
The love of God is made complete,
So abundant not to deplete.
Then we are sure that we abide,
By living with the Lord inside;
And shall be doing as He did,
Avoiding what He would forbid.
