THE FRIENDLY IRISH

~  ~ THE FRIENDLY IRISH ~  ~

People call in as they pass by
For a short chat and to say `hi`,
Most are out just for a walk
But they like to stop and have a talk.

~  ~~  ~~  ~

They all sit here and tell a tale
They have me in stitches without fail,
They say what they have got to say
And then they`re gone on their way.

~  ~~  ~~  ~

The undertaker calls in even when late
He leaves the hearse outside the gate,
The passenger is resting sound
He`ll soon be going in the ground.

People pass in and out all day
This is just their friendly way,
They spread the news and the cheer
The community is tight knit here.
