What is in your knapsack you share,
shining above so clear so rare?
Weaving your magic so fancy free,
reflecting your beauty for all to see.
A jewel so glossy so bright and so bold,
up in the sky a story told.
Roses and lilies so full of romance,
lovers stand under you and dance.
Amidst the chaos of the world all the while,
floating on high you give us a smile.
Tender is the night you bless with a kiss,
if we could all just know love like this.
Under a spell you put on this earth,
only those with heart can know your worth!
The moon is a fine lover and mistress,
a love affair that none should miss.
The sweetest of all lovers
to come calling in the night,
it's not cheating when it feels so right!
