Time Slaves
Time knows all,
time is perfect,
France, Egypt,
London, Kenya,
right now,
Spain, Italy,
South Beach
"Cafe Milano".

Morocco,
Cuba,
Blues Alley,
China town in DC,
Central Park,
time is right
as a heart beat,
time knows
its past,
perfectly,
knows it's future,
without doubt,
as we, in some fashion,
pretend,
we can compete,
savor, relish, vibe,
dig Coltrane,
Hendrix
call Miles and see if Bird
wants to,
time is what we all
wish to manipulate, perfect,
understand, meditate through,
learn from, duplicate,
travel within,

c
k slow,
memories
beneath
an old wink,
love and music,
none of us:
can
compete
with time.
It owns us,
in every form,
we can not sell it,
manufacture it, scam it,
seduce it,
hold it up,
gently now,
gently now,
sweet note
linger,
I need
more.
