From the Heart Through the Pen

yosph
She Still Has Her Place

I sit and listen to the ocean breeze
And thoughts of her come to me
Not my average way of thinking
But I do have to say
Her friendship I am missing
Wow so many memories
Tonight on her I'm reminiscent

Not sure if she's keeping count
But this will make number two
And of this, only she would have a clue
It's amazing to me
How much attention she paid
If only she knew if situations were better
A different decision I would've made

Can't believe that before
Our connection we lost
To no fault of our own
And now this in her control
Not a word to me but I understand
Such a beautiful soul
Such a remarkable woman

Always finding ourselves in similar situations
Making each others day with our stories
So many smiles that crossed this face
Alas, I must've been replaced
But I can tell her that for me
This is not the same
Because in my heart
She still has her place
