Christmas Time Wish

Burdens weigh heavy in days long and gray,
yet glimmers of hope flutter into thought
As light catches snowflakes that silent lay
breath of excitement is easily caught
Lights are bedazzled on my journey path
Faint carols fill my ears and flood my mind
Hope anxiously dissolves some of life's wrath
leaving contentment of a diff'rent kind
Lighted trees beg to my wandering eye,
creches and santa and candles abound
The signs and symbols that Christmas is nigh
lead me to embrace the new peace I've found
Christmas time feels like love and hope to me
Christmas time, I wish, feels the same to thee
