Some In LifeThis is not about any on poetrypoem or any person in particular .. Just life .. We have all come across them They have nothing else to do- It's in their breeding some feel It is their whole life it is true- A certain class of living soul That so resembles a clinging vine- And never gives of healthy fruit Over anything it will climb- It can be found just anywhere To know of it is a must for sure- So you can recognize it early Before it gets a firm foot in your door- It is against the law to spray them But where there's a will there's a way- To spot them way before they know That you have them pegged early in the day- The class of which I speak of Belongs to a certain kind of soul- That feeds on intimidating others And gossiping from days of old- They feel that what is theirs is theirs And whats yours is theirs as well- If they do not know they'll make it up And cannot simply wait to tell- They have a thing against any being happy And cannot wait to destroy same- It's a thing that keeps them living As if to them in life a compulsive game- They are usually very careful to make sure They are one step this side of breaking the law- A very fine line they love to walk in life But worse luck they'll be around for ever more- The thing is to recognize them in life And have one eye on guard for same- Often they approach as ever wonderful But have the quality of acid rain- As if sugar coated arsenic are they And believe me they do exist in life- They get their thrills from causing trouble And bringing to good souls lots of strife- Terrence Michael Sutton copyright 2008 Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
