Having been there done that in life
Worn the tee shirt too-
In these alone situations that can be
When there's only one thing left to do-
When common sense is all that's left
To save hurt and harm to all its true-
After all that's been said and done
And things are as they are right through-
When these kind of situations in life
Get to where you can't do any more on the day-
When others thinking will never change
In the name of common sense just walk away-
I have over time come across this in life
There was no way to others I could explain-
That there was a simpler and easier way
When they all stood ground and chose to blame-
But having been there I can in all honesty tell
In the name of all common sense come what may-
Time to look back with no regrets in life
And simply start a new and walk away-
It's not as some say a cowardly act in life
It takes way more courage upon the day-
To make sensible sacrifices for all concerned
And decide in life to simply walk away-
When things are going absolutely no where
Tomorrows can be a brand new day-
When there's no way to solve everyone's problems
It's time to simply up and walk away-
Time to retain all your values and dignity
And remember in life who you really are-
When knowing giving into others all the time
Will never in this life take you far-
When you've been born into a family
Who stayed together to try and see it through-
And it never in life was going to happen
Regardless of anything any then could do-
I even wrote a book about this very thing
So that just maybe others they might know-
That there's is in life always a better way
And in life thus the tree shall grow-
If it never is going to work it self out
And common sense can never have it's say-
Pick up your values and your dignity
And very simply just up and walk away-
