The signposts here are quite a blast
No way can you drive by too fast,
There`s everything that you need to know
Besides which way you want to go.
Ireland is a religious country
And everywhere there are shrines to see,
Some are big and some are very small
And some are even 20` tall.
When you go to Hospital in Ireland
To visit Emly in her native land,
Do you have to Knockalong time
Or did I write this just to rhyme!
Even the leprechauns are not left out
Although we don`t see many about,
They have their own special `crossing place`
After all this is their rightful birthplace.
The grave stones don`t just have their names on
But the house number and street they came from,
There`s so many Ryans, Murphy`s and Burns too,
You need to make sure which one you knew.
Everyone gives you a wave as they pass
Whether you`re in a car or on the grass,
They raise their hand in sheer courtesy
That`s something at home we don`t often see.
