Where have all the poets gone?
I don't mean those that babble on!
Those that take the world to task
Those who have real questions to ask;
Who tell the truth the mighty few,
Sharing old myths over a brew or two.
There is allot in speaking the simple truth,
The day he pointed to the bleachers the mighty Ruth.
Are they all waiting for the check to arrive?
Myself after this election hope is I can stay alive!
We should take from those who work to those who shirk?
Using that philosophy many a danger does lurk.
Now they want to bail out those who robbed the most;
Bailouts as businesses fail from coast to coast.
Retreat through history, what this country stood for!
Who thought controlled by drug addicts at the liquor store?
So I raise this class to the day of wine and roses,
I can smell the direction this country is going hold your noses!
