Dear Mother
Today the tears will run again
Except this time mother and friend
You won't be here to wipe and dry
These drops with songs of lullaby
Mother, my heart like shattered glass
Is now broken for you have passed
Leaving us all to fend without
Mother I love written about
You gave me life and held my hand
You taught me how to walk and stand
You gave your best but I need more
Of you mother we so adored
God took my breath when he called out
Your name mother, its yours I shout
Yet in silence, I know your there
At peace at last and in Gods care
Thanksgiving comes as does Christmas
It's you we'll thank and sure will miss
For without you we would not be
The strength needed, my heart set free
