 ramblings and things

If modern theories prove to be right
We're no longer restricted to speed of light
We can bend time and we can bend space
Instantaneously to move to any other place
He built a machine he hoped would yield
That correct type of bending field
He started off with a trip to Mars
Just as practice before the stars

He found a bar at Galaxy's end
Drank a pint with an alien friend
Watched space whales swim along
Captivated by their haunting song
Watched a comet from a Jovian moon
Then it was time to return home soon
For it was forty five minutes past three
Almost time for his afternoon time

For after any type of long trip
Home was best for tea and a kip
He carefully stowed his machine away
Ready for use on some future day
When he had the energy once more to move
He started looking for more theories to prove
For man climbs mountains not for a dare
But just because they happen to be there
