 If, I Must Die
If, I must die…and die I must!
May it be on a bright sunshiny summer day.
where Robins sing and Bluebirds fly over
buttermilk clouds, high in the warm summer sky.

May the morning dew on a bright red rose
buds glitter like a diamond during a early sunrise.

May the multicolored butterflies
flutter on the a summer breeze like
silver leaves in the old maple trees.

May the sweet aroma of lilac drift in the warm
morning air, and may life be prevalent everywhere.

May the sounds of children playing
be loud and clear and full of life's embrace…
for life is loud, joyful and sweet to
the human race.

May the people who love me continue
forever and a day, for as long as
I'm loved …
I'll not be forgotten nor dead!

May my humble ashes be spread on
Gulf water's and a few kind word
be said,  may I all ways be remember
alive…not dead!
