ICEEvery body loves the snow it's so And they all think it's really nice- But it's a different kettle of fish When everything is covered in just ice- One finds it hard to walk a simple line When going at all simply anywhere- As all is iced over ever so well And it seems that it's everywhere- Slipping sliding as you go Trying to keep a straight face- Head over heels when you at least think As there's ice all over the place- Freezing cold to sit in too As if at times one has a choice at all- Two steps forward and then two back And next thing one does fall- The snow it is so wonderful Everyone thinks that it's nice- Snow I can appreciate But not too sure about the ice- Terrence Michael Sutton copyright 2008 Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
