Lies

Too many lies bury the heart's true cries.
They take you on path to nowhere, they isolate
you on an island of deception
where nothing is real under the skies.
Your lies become your reality
and your reality becomes your lies
which will drive you as mad as the flies
       that chase human waste
       for the taste

If you can't believe in your own words...
then how can you expect some else to believe in
them when everything you say is rooted in falsehood.

When you tell a lie you tell a lie to at least two people,
the person you're talking to and yourself. You destroy their trust
but you destroy your own trust, your heart, your mind, your soul,
and eventually your reality.
