 The Offering
Keep the silence, yet tell no lies.
Somewhere, in the darkness cloaked,
He watches her tonight.
Revealing truth, only as she sleeps,
For it is much too painful to see with open eyes.

She captures his scent.  Somewhere in her mind
A warrior's protection unknowingly surrounds her,
Borrowed ecstasy shared in a fragile astral state.
Guided by the willing knight; in an unknown universe,
She drifts through the mirage of rainbows.
He never lets her stumble, he's never far behind.

Charging through the forest, black unicorn revealed,
His ultimate symbol of power and knowledge.
He embodies the completeness of her lucidity.
Nothing to fear from him, bringer of pleasure.
Surrounded by beauty, and love, and flowers.
She stands exposed in his light, alone in the field.

He has never left her, only moved to a higher plane
Where only she can follow, but only if she dares.
Yet she trembles at his boldness, all he has to offer,
Not just the world does he lay at her feet,
But his soul, her soul, and the secrets of the dead.
With a little faith, his magic hers to gain.
