The Gift from God
Let the grace of God within,
Give you power over sin;
That He delivered by hand,
And is yours for to command.
Living power in your soul,
That is within your control;
Makes it able to resist,
Temptation that will persist.
We have no spirit of fear,
That would try to commandeer;
And cause a feeling of shame,
About God when you proclaim.
You have a power of love,
With a self-control thereof;
As prisoner and witness,
And filled with His righteousness.
The Good News in the measure,
That consists of the treasure;
Causing rejuvenation,
As He gives through salvation.
God gives an eternal gift,
Which has the hope to uplift;
As revealed through our Savior,
At the time we transfigure.
