The West London lads view on life
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

It's all about meeting a slag on Friday night
wearing your well ironed shirt and talking polite
It's about getting rat arsed by the end of the evening
And hoping you and the slag get the same feeling
It's about waking up with her the next day
Not really knowing what to say
it's about sneaking out of her bed
With a sore hangover head
It's about running too catch the bus when its raining
Knowing you've 15 mins till football training

The game is about as bad as last nights lay
And it shows in your football play
Hard to play the game thinking about the night before
The game finishes in a 0-0 draw
after the game you and the boys go to the bar
Then  you go off to watch Q.P.R
After playing in the worst match
You now watch the worst match
i don't know why i support such a pile of poo
but if you lived in West London what would you do?
Saturday night is down the bars in Hammersmith
Another night with the boys on the piss
You talk about the good old days
And about the job that does not pay
Back on the train home you get ready for Sunday

Sunday arrives with another sore head
And watching football in a lonesome bed
Then the repeats on the telly
Get up and look in the mirror at your beer belly
On Monday you'll join the gym!
But we all know that will never begin
Fridays nights shag is now a mislead boast
As Sunday ends with a Sunday roast
It is overcast outside. Typical London weather
Why does Sunday last forever?

Awe this is an old poem written over ten years ago, when i was in my prime as a lovable London rouge. At Uni, with the boys, where only football, woman and beer mattered in life. This is a very true account of how my days were. In some aspects still are, just a little bit more of a lightweight now, and of course the boys have settled.....................I'm still waiting..
