Message of Hope (Christmas)Thanksgiving Day has now past But the blessings will always last By keeping it alive in our hearts As gratefulness to others we impart Now during this Christmas season Let us proclaim Jesus is the reason We celebrate His birth that holy night Coming to earth as the Truth and Light To many, Christmas is another holiday It has lost meaning in our society today But by leaving the baby in the manager Then He remains to them just a stranger The message of hope is this, God is love Jesus is the Son of God sent from above His death and resurrection as God's plan To pay the penalty of sin for every man When you acknowledge to God your sin That only Jesus saves and forgives within By faith alone, you accept His sacrifice Realizing your efforts will never suffice Then God promises His gift of eternal life The Holy Spirit, your Helper through strife Final home in heaven now guaranteed there Go with His message of hope to freely share © Carol Salter 11/28/08 Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
