Love is Patiet, Love is Kind...
The Apostle Paul wrote the 13th chapter of I Corinthians, the love chapter.
This defines for us the importance of spiritual gifts, love being paramount.
Paul also gives us the complete definition of what God's love is, this is not human love.
If you read this chapter along with I John daily, you will begin to understand within your soul,
That God Is Love, not that love is a part of God; No, God Is Love!
With the fullness of the power of the resurrection,
God's love lives within us who are born of the Spirit;
But we must open ourselves to this power in order to be possessed by God's love.
Die to self, making the ego subservient.
Beginning in the 4th verse through the 8th Paul through God's Spirit says:
Love is patient, love is kind,
It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud;
It is not rude, it is not self-seeking;
It is not easily angered, it keeps no records of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
Love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails.
Knowing that this is a portrait of God since God is love,
All I can say is, I am thankful that God is love,
that he enables us to bring that love to mankind
We can walk in the way of love not with only a partial sliver,
but with the fullness of God's power; we only need to die to self.
"Oh, is that all?" You say asking the mocking question, "Is that all?"
We only need to die to self, I repeat.
God's seed of His love is within us if we are born of the Spirit,
We only need to die to self becomes our mantra.
Allow the ego to release its hold on our mind.
We only need to die to self.
Begin to live in the eternal present moment.
We only need to die to self.
Allow God to help untangle you from the web of self-deception.
We only need to die to self.
