Resting Amongst the Flowers

Another beautiful day
The sun is shining bright
I had such a peaceful sleep
All through the night,

I think I'll take a walk
Amongst the flowers
Their scent lingers on
For many hours,

Maybe I'll get a blanket
And rest upon the ground
I'll enjoy the lovely scenery
All around

I'll pack a picnic lunch
With delicious food
Listen to some music
To help set the mood,

With my notebook and pen
I could write for hours
Relaxing comfortably
Amongst the flowers,

I'll write about all
The wonderful things I see
As the rose petals gently
Sway with the breeze,

Or maybe I won't put pen to paper today
I'll just sit back
And enjoy this beautiful day,
