 Enter the Dragon

For over a year this tattoo has been developing,
From the embryonic state of the idea in my mind,
To the drawing,  then the process of transference began.
Four separate stages in the birth of this creature,
As in the pain of this day the dragon was  finally born.
Enter the dragon.

The symbol of 1952 is this dragon washed with water,
Softening the dragon's powerful characteristic traits.
Emerging from my chest churning in the waters,
This dragon explodes onto the earth through Christina's hand.
Connecting the core of my body with the sign of my birth,
Enter the dragon.

With pride I will enjoy this playful creature's charm.
Art has visited me on my flesh and brought me joy,
As the completion meant more to me than I would have believed.
I stand before you with my dragon emblazoned in boldness;
Now in unity with my body, mind, soul, and dragon.
Enter the dragon.

Written after the completion of a tattoo across my chest.
This was my 32nd tattoo, yet the most powerful to me
personally.
