 Boundaries

I am a new road warrior and in my enthusiasm I sometimes ere.
I sometimes step into private arenas without invitation,
As an attempt at friendship becomes too imposing.
I suffocate this new flame of kinship with bellows too strong.
I am learning that patience is key in developing the tender shoots of trust,
But I'm sometimes like that little annoying dog seeking to please,
Just bouncing and yapping,  tail wagging ferociously to the beat of my heart.
I am learning that in all of life there are boundaries.

The sands of time have slipped through my grasping fingers,
As this leaves me with a hole somewhere within my heart.
An empty place void of all the friends that I never took the time to develop.
I am trying to learn restraint as I reach out to those beyond my touch.
I have much to give but even much more to learn and receive.
There is so many places to build the bridges to people around me.
Be patient as I build, my skills are rough, but I am reaching out to you.
Help me to learn where the boundaries are.

Your draw is undeniable, as my soul is pulled into your orbit.
I obey the forces of coincidence and understand the powers in place.
I am just under skilled in the process of harmonious relationships.
I am reaching out with intentions of a pure heart as best as I can tell,
But I do continue to search my intentions to with each breath I take.
I hope that you can understand what lies within my soul,
Just a desire for a symbiotic relationship of edification and peace.
I am slowly learning the boundaries to be obeyed.

I am here as your friend with a well wishes and support during your trials.
I hope that you choose to reach out to me as I reach out to you,
For a friendship of trust must be built from both shores in order to survive.
We meet in the center with an embrace with an understanding of the boundaries.
