This CHRISTmas
The shopping list seems never ending
So much to do and much more spending
Yet in our haste forget the gift
That some today think tale and myth
Born in a manger in swaddling cloth
This child JESUS three wise men sought
Would seek and find this new born King
On knees they'd bend with offerings
With Frankincense, myr and gold
They'd pay tribute of him foretold
Would come to save a world in need
This child, savior mans blessed seed
No ribbons or fancy bows
Would decorate this manger old
But his presence in infant stage
Would grace a world that sin keeps caged
This CHRISTmas was not about
The worldly things we pout about
It's not of jewels and perfumed scent
But was and is of Him GOD sent
This CHRISTmas of yesterday
Came to save a world enslaved
By hands that healed and heal today
The hurt one feels if we just prayed
This CHRISTmas I give to you
The son, maker of all things new
The same dear child who grew to be
This CHRISTmas, the world does need
