Of Fallen Prey
Wings I've yet to give birth to
Shoulders once strong have given too
Weakness grows and drains what's left
Of us once Angel, fallen, inept
We trace our steps how we got here
Darkness en route, faith turns to fear
This cannot be, the path appears
To be forsaken, flooded by tears
Once born of light and salt of Earth
My heart sold out all our net worth
To patience lost now dismayed
Is what is left of fallen prey
We look to Heaven where answers come
Be not distressed I've overcome
What you do seek, you soon will find
In me who sees the one who binds
Stretch out your arms and call to me
I am the GOD of all you see
There is but good no room for one
Who clipped your wings dear fallen son
Regain your poise and let me place
These wings powered by awesome grace
It is my will to see you fly
Soar like the Eagle before my eyes
Your wings were made before your birth
Feathers unlike holy not cursed
They will provide a shield to wear
Angel fallen not prey I spared
