 Quiet Desperation

The masses of mankind live their lives without any hopes or dreams;
Empty of the beauty that life enhances our souls with each morning.
Without any true desire to take the next step, only living out of repetition;
Never reaching within on a search for their souls, just living in a hollow vacuum.
Quiet desperation

Poverty steals mankind's vitality by the sheer weight of everyday existence.
Sickness robs many others of life force's power as their energy is depleted.
Loneliness isolates others from the light of love and the renewal of their faith.
Hatred locks others into a prison of their own making, absorbing their essence.
Quiet desperation

The mind numbing flow downstream into the ocean of eternity without true life,
As the masses like sheep follow the one another off the cliff into this surging river.
Sweeping their lives into the hell of hopelessness; seeking pity, not rescue;
The pain will be extinguished someday soon, as death becomes a welcome friend.
Quiet desperation

Lift your head, O you hopeless ones, from this mass grave of destruction.
Look up and see the touch of God our Father in the sky's pallet above.
Open your heart to the love of His Son as He seeks these lost sheep.
Rescue is His priority, Hope is His gift, Faith is His path, Love is His nature.
Quiet redemption
