You Oughta Know

You oughta know, that my life did not end with you,
That I would lose my groove after all you put me through,
You oughta know, that I know you thought you had me in
The palm of your hand,
To disrespect, mistreat, this was always your plan,

You oughta know, that I knew about all the women in your life,
You seemed to have forgot to tell me you had a wife.
You oughta know, that you were not my first and you
Will not be my last,
And when it comes to hurt and pain, I have left that in the past.
You oughta know, that I know you think I will cry, and hang
My head low,
But I have places to go, and meet people, I will get to know.

You oughta know, that you did not take my dignity or my pride,
I am facing the world, not trying to hide.
You oughta know, you taught me things, I learned from the best,
know it is not alright, but it's ok ........and better yet.
you oughta know, I have moved on and I have grown,
And know that I will find that special love of my own..
You oughta know that I am good anyway the wind blow,
I am doing so good without you, though "You Oughta Know".
